Administrative Assistant

Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant for Region 3 (Central States – west of the Mississippi).  This is a home-based part-time position.

The Administrative Assistant for Region 3 provides administrative support to the leadership of Region 3 and its units.  Responsibilities include board meeting planning and logistics, assistance with newsletters and matching organizational resources to Unit needs within the region.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in administrative support and an associates degree or certificate in administration, logistics or a related field.  Strong written and oral communication skills including fluency in Microsoft Office Suite and organizational skills with attention to detail are essential.  This role will interact with and be sensitive to a diverse constituent group and the successful candidate must have the ability to work as a team member, and independently and be willing to travel approximately 10% of the time.
