April 25, 2016

This week’s short-term volunteers came from Lancaster, PA, and Manitoba, Canada. Ray and Martha Zimmerman arrived to be our new project director and office manager.

God blessed us with another great crew this week. We signed off two homes and added three more to our current workload.

Mr. Homer’s home had kitchen cabinets and trim installed. This job now is awaiting one more cabinet that is on order.

At Mr. Robert’s home we continued with framing and insulation.

At Ms. Rachel’s home we installed new molding and trim on the walls and ceiling and completed her home – much to her delight.

At Ms. Emma’s home outside cleanup was completed and work continued on the finish work outside the home.

At Ms. Shirley’s home we completed the removal of the old roof and installed a new roof. This job is now completed.

At Ms. JoAnne home work was started to frame a new roof and this work has continued all week.

Our cooking crew Barbara, Aaron, and Louise provided wonderful menus and as always the food was exceptional.

On Thursday evening Ms. Alford told her story on the flood and it was well received by our short-term volunteers. Our hearts go out to these people who have witnessed this disaster.

We thank all the hard work performed this week wish them God’s Grace. Our clients wish to thank the MDS volunteers who have been the hands and feet of Jesus.
