San Marcos – Weekly Update – November 24, 2017
December 1, 2017
Lower temperatures and less humidity made working conditions more comfortable this week. Our wives finished painting the exterior of the home of Esther Gonzalez on Monday and then concentrated on painting doors, casing and baseboard. The Cowboy Chapel here at San Marcos River Scout Camp was perfect for that task – not in anyone’s way and pieces could be spread out to dry.
Our team traveled to Wimberley for three days this week to repair a mobile home for a family that includes four children. Old skirting material was removed and new installed. Decks and stairs were repaired/replaced. A new front door was put in place and then some interior floor and wall repairs completed.
Thanksgiving Holiday was a reminder for us all, American and Canadian, to be thankful always. God has blessed us in so many ways and we are to bless others as a grateful response. The Wimberley homeowner sent a cooked turkey along with our volunteers to enjoy for a wonderful potluck supper. That is a grateful response!
We also thank our families and friends at home who pray for us and this work in the San Marcos area.
