Project Status: Closed
Project Needs: Repair work with some new builds
What Happened:

Hurricane Florence hit land in North Carolina on September 14, 2018 as a Category 1 hurricane. Florence caused widespread power outages and dumped heavy rain along coastal areas, which, along with a large storm surge, caused widespread flooding. Many areas received record-breaking rainfall, with some places measuring more than 30 inches.

What MDS Is Doing:

MDS volunteers will be staying at the Pollocksville Baptist Church parsonage. The dining area will be in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Volunteers will primarily be focusing on repair work, with some new
builds, in Pollocksville or Trenton.
