Pollocksville, NC – Weekly Report – Jan 6-10, 2020

January 14, 2020

Our first group of volunteers for 2020 were 8 from the Chamesburg, Pa area and their friend from OH and 2 fellows from Va. They were our first short term volunteers in our new camp at Pollocksville, NC.

One of this group, a longtime group organizer, Larry Frey, became a crew leader for one week. Larry’s group did different things around camp, like hook-up the coffee pot, build a stand for the Jack & Jill water heater etc. They also worked at the Mobley’s.

David’s group worked on Ms Tamra house. They installed 3 exterior doors, renovated the kitchen walls etc.

Bob’s group installed most of the kitchen cabinets at the Thigpen’s. We are waiting for the balance of the cabinets so we can finish.

The also worked at the Mobley’s where they insulated and hung drywall.

The cooks surprised Ray on his Birthday on Thur. with a Key Lime pie with candles on top.

We thank God for a good first week back.
