Myrtle Beach, SC RV – Weekly Report – Feb 4-8, 2019
February 13, 2019
We are excited to have a large crew for the month of February and anticipate getting a lot accomplished on our projects. Monday morning the guys unloaded flooring at our next job, and then the crew continued work at Patrice’s home. Throughout the week, time was spent on painting, installing new vanities and kitchen cupboards and countertops, flooring and interior doors. Plumbing was connected and Jane refinished the garden tub. On Monday, as we were cleaning up, our group could not resist the music of the ice cream truck which drove by on the street. Ice cream hit the spot at the end of a work day – Thanks, Fred!
On Sunday we attended the Timberlake Baptist Church and had the privilege of hearing the Ugandan Kid’s Choir. There were ten children, ages 9-13, which included five boys and five girls; all with high energy! They sang familiar hymns, as well as performed traditional Ugandan songs with dance. Following the service, we enjoyed pizza together and got acquainted with our new volunteers – Pete and Loretta from New York and Dave and Jane from Alabama.
We anticipate that by the end of next week we will be almost finished with Patrice’s home and will be starting a new project at Theresa’s home. We also look forward to hearing a report from Dave and Jane, who attended the All Units Meeting in Tucson.
