What Happened:

Hurricane Michael made landfall near Mexico Beach, FL on October 10, 2018. It was the third-most intense Atlantic hurricane to make landfall in the contiguous United States. Hurricane Michael caused at least $14.5 billion dollars in damages. 

What MDS Will Do:

ERT work has been completed, did 351 clean up jobs.  MDS hopes to return in the fall to focus on home repair and new home construction in partnership with the North Florida Inland Long Term Recovery Group, which covers Jackson and Calhoun Counties.  Volunteer Housing will be at Rivertown Community Church, where there will be showers, bunkrooms, and a common sitting and eating area.
