Greenbrier, W.Va.- Weekly Report- Nov 24, 2017
December 1, 2017
On Sunday, Nov 19 we welcomed our weekly volunteers, a couple and their teenage daughter from Michigan. Eleven from Ontario also joined us. There was a lot of energy in camp this week.
We welcomed our new cooks Tim & Michelle Gerber, who did great cooking all week and cooked up a full traditional Thanksgiving dinner for us all to enjoy. The church that feeds our volunteers lunch was closed on Thanksgiving so Tina volunteered to make homemade croissants for our chicken salad sandwiches for lunch and chocolate croissants for dessert in the evening. We all enjoyed them.
At the Richmond home there was odds and ends of outside work finished. The spouting and downspouts were added. Inside the tradesmen finished the mudding.
The reversed gable was completed and more shingles were added at the Belcher place.
Silvi-lin Sweet’s house got more work done on the ramp.
Evenings were filled with playing cards, volleyball or basketball and even some black Friday shopping for our Canadian friends.
We gave Thanks for good health and strength and the ability to work with our hands to assist others.
