Fort Myers, Florida, Weekly Report, Nov 19-23, 2018
November 27, 2018
We had a great group from Sturgis, Michigan and a couple from Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. Monday they were all busy hanging drywall in the Lopez house. Peter went to Fort Myers to buy some tools needed to do the mudding. Jim was kept busy looking for a way to get the shingles on the roof without having to carry them up. Tuesday they were mudding and doing lots of corner beads, as well as figuring out the last of the electrical. Wednesday they were taking off the old shingles and it was a very hot day. Meanwhile the other house was being mudded. The first coat of mud was on and some areas had a second coat of mud.
God always provides for our needs if we only put our trust in Him. It was great to have input from the home owner’s family. There were 3 fellows and 1 gal that were there, taking off shingles and carrying shingles up the ladder. It was very good to have some younger and stronger muscles to help. That meant our volunteers could save their backs and legs. By the end of the week the roof was done and mudding was to the final stages.
