Fort Myers, FL – Weekly Report – Dec 10-14, 2018
December 18, 2018
This group included people from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Canada. One crew continued working at the Lopez house, installing linoleum, putting in supply lines for water and putting in drains. The main rooms have the baseboards finished, while window trim is still in process. They also spent time chasing rats and seeing snakes! This project is so close to being done. The crew was treated to fried chicken, potato wedges and cake for lunch on Wednesday.
We had a crew working at the camp lodge who reported making a lot of progress. They put up vinyl siding on four gables as well as put on a new roof on the pump house.
Another group started and completed a new roof project at the Guerrero house. In two days they took off metal roofing and put plywood and shingles on.
It was a fun group who enjoyed working together. It’s always amazing how God works. We also hope that the people were blessed for serving. We, the long term volunteers, have really enjoyed our time here but we are all really looking forward to going home to our families.
