Conway, SC – Weekly Report – Dec 3-7, 2018
December 11, 2018
This week Ray and I were pleased to have some other PA folks join us. Moses King did dry walling and other odd jobs and worked until it was finished on Friday so it would be ready for painting on Monday. Sharon helped in the kitchen. The remainder of the camp was a group of three from Harrisonburg, VA under the leadership of Bryan Schrock, a group of six from the Lyndhurst, VA area, and Captain(inside camp joke) David Kanagy and his crew of 6 that included his wife Kristi as head cook and her able assistant Judy. Meal times were never quiet unless everyone was eating. One fellow said he enjoyed all the comradery we had, coming from many places and not knowing anyone before, but leaving as friends.
Ms. Odessa was very happy to have the new roof finished on her house. Her new kitchen floor installation is waiting for the flooring next week and her entry room is waiting to be painted.
It was nice to have Jerry Grosh here Tuesday afternoon till Thursday morning and Larry and Karen Stoner with us for dinner on Wednesday.
We enjoyed a Christmas program put on by the music department of the First Baptist Church of Conway on Sunday evening. My favorite was the 11 adult bell ringers. It was a good way to start the last week here before Christmas break and get us in the spirit of Christmas as we joined in singing Christmas carols.
To God be the glory for all that was accomplished this week.
