Conway, SC – Weekly Report – Mar 4-8, 2019
March 13, 2019
Conway saw almost all new leadership volunteers this week, with Roger and Anne Friesen from Winnipeg, Manitoba as crew leader and head cook, Richard and Betty Esh from East Earl, Pennsylvania as crew and assistant cook and David King as crew leader from Broadway, Virginia.
Five energetic young ladies from Tennessee and Kentucky and ten mixed aged fellows from the Middlebury, Indiana area made up our volunteers for this week.
Rich led the group in finishing the floors, installing doors and trim and installing the kitchen cabinets at the Sherman house.
Dave’s group finished flooring, installed baseboard and laid floor tile at the Barker house.
At the Rollins house, Roger led the volunteers in dry walling and finishing it.
A mysterious rooster would crow at times and we found out it was a father playing tricks on his sons. We all enjoyed some good laughs at these antics.
I think we all enjoyed the lovely spring weather even though we had frost two mornings.
God has been gracious supplying good health and safety as we worked.
