Coastal Bend, TX RV – Weekly Report – Oct 21-25, 2019

November 5, 2019

We are off to a great start at Coastal Bend RV.  We have 9 in our group right now.  Two couples from Canada, two couples from Kansas and our Project Director is from Illinois.  We travel about 35 minutes to Corpus Christi for our current project.  Rueben and Eva’a home was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.  They continue to live there (without utilities) while we finish their new home on other property they owned.  The house was built by the Traditional MDS team and we are finishing the inside.  Last week we insulated the walls and hung sheetrock on the ceiling and some of the walls.  This tested some of our skills in figuring out where the studs were under the sheetrock, but we managed to figure most of it out.  On Wednesday Rueben and Eva brought us fried chicken, fries and tea for lunch.  It was a wonderful surprise.  On Thursday (when it was quite hot and humid) some blew insulation into the attic.  We had a great and successful week and are looking forward to another this coming week.  We had a wonderful week fellowshipping (mostly eating) and bonding as a team.
