Coastal Bend, TX RV – Weekly Report – Nov 25-29, 2019

December 4, 2019

Decks, ramps, decks, ramps, and steps!!  We have been busy making decks with steps, and decks with ramps the past week.  The crew of eight finished three ramps on mobile homes that were donated by the Long Term Recovery Group after a generous donation was given to them. Families who were without homes now have nice new homes, and a way to get in and out of them.

The group of four finished three decks with steps and started a fourth.  We have traveled near and far to get these projects done.  One homeowner, Ed, was living in his garage until he was able to move into his new home.  Another family was very anxious to move in and had a trailer full of household items waiting to be unloaded as we did a small house blessing before moving on to the next deck.

We worked diligently on these ramps and decks on Thanksgiving so the homeowners could get into their homes as soon as possible.  We had a wonderful, filling, tasty meal of turkey with all the trimmings, and even our Canadian coworkers enjoyed it as much as the Americans!

We all waved white handkerchiefs as our friends, Ken and Linda, left Friday morning.  It was good weather here, but they were headed into some questionable weather as they traveled north.  We are praying they were blessed serving with us, as they were a blessing to us and to the new homeowners.
