Coastal Bend, TX RV – Weekly Report – Nov 18-22, 2019
December 3, 2019
We had another great week in south Texas. We have a great group, but because of the fact that we are working on several projects we are not all together every day. I miss being with them and it is going to get worse because some of our team start leaving this coming weekend. Many of the team continued to work on one of our houses in Aransas Pass. They built a LONG, beautiful ramp for Joyce since she has recently had to have an amputation. Others of us worked on a deck on a new mobile home in Rockport. There is a family of 8 that recently were able to move into their new home. Two of the family were little ones that loved peeking out the window to watch us work. They were happy when we were done and they could finally come outside again. We had a small set back when we discover a large chunk of concrete with a 2 x 4 running through it buried right where we needed to set our last post. A strap and 4 wheel drive pick up solved that problem and off we went. It was a great blessing for us to be able to do this for them and they were very appreciative. That crew moved on to another deck with a ramp on Wednesday and Thursday and the large group continued to work on their BIG project.
Friday we were privileged to have House Blessing on our two houses in Aransas Pass. Sandra was very appreciative and it was a great time. The other house is for her sister Joyce. Unfortunately Joyce was unable to be there since she was in the hospital, but her son-in-law was there and assured us she will be very well pleased with her new home.
We have become a family down and we are so blessed to be able to work through MDS to be God’s hands and feet in this area that was so devastated two years ago during hurricane Harvey. We are truly thankful this time of year.
Thanksgiving blessing to all…..Ken and Linda, Dennis and Joanne, Ken and Rita, Jim and Annette, Herman and Marilse, Bob and Cyndi and Doug
