What Happened:

Hurricane Hermine, a Category 1 hurricane, hit the region on August 28, 2016. Hurricane Irma, a Category 4 hurricane, hit Florida on September 10, 2017. MDS will be continuing work responding to flooding issues and damages in homes.


What MDS Will Do:

MDS Volunteers will be replacing insulation, drywall, painting, installing kitchen cabinets, flooring and all trim work. MDS will be working with Catholic Charities, who established a Long Term Recovery Committee and does case management identifying homeowners and arranges for funding building supplies.
