What Happened:

On August 28, 2016 Hurricane Hermine hit the Florida coast causing massive flooding issues and damage to property. Officials have estimated that nearly 1,900 structures were impacted by the hurricane, which caused at least $53 million in damages in Citrus County.


What MDS Will Do:

MDS Volunteers will be replacing insulation, drywall, painting, installing kitchen cabinets, flooring and all trim work. MDS will be working with Catholic Charities, who established a Long Term Recovery Committee and does case management identifying homeowners and arranges for funding building supplies.
