Citrus County, Florida, RV Weekly Report, Nov 12-16, 2018
November 20, 2018
As I write this I am thinking about this Thanksgiving week and all of the blessings we have been given, especially the gifts of the volunteers of our group. When a challenge occurs, there is always someone who can figure out the solution. The ten of us made great progress this week by completing the troublesome electrical work. At times Norm and Ken had to take off the new walls to trace the wires back to the box but by the end of the week all electrical outlets were working. Jim laid the vinyl flooring in the bedroom and did some more trim work. Doug spent the last two days fitting all of the new doors including the two in the bathroom. It’s great to have doors for privacy in the bathroom – now if only we had a toilet. On Thursday Bob and Tom started to do the outdoor siding on the front of the house. They completed it despite the rain. Cyndi, Linda, and Annette primed the siding in the rain and after the sun returned they put on the top coat of paint. Carolyn primed and painted the boards for the baseboards.
This coming week we have a goal of laying the flooring in the kitchen, bathroom, and living room, painting the bathroom, and kitchen, and getting more of the baseboards down.
Friday evening we attended a rodeo that supports the Citrus County 4-H Clubs. It was fun but we were so glad that we do not have to do things like that to make a living.
