Citrus County, FL RV – Weekly Report – Feb 4-8, 2019
February 13, 2019
This week we enjoyed the lovely warm weather of Florida. It got up to the high 70s and low 80s each day. As I write this on Sunday afternoon, it is raining for the first time in a long time. Therefore, we got a lot accomplished this week. We are likely one week away from completing the house of Dee Johnson. The painting is nearly all done except for the bathroom touch-up and the front bedroom. This week we will put down new flooring in the dining room, bathroom, and two bedrooms.
Thursday, we had a little excitement on the job. Ray, Jean and Rita were in the bedroom working on preparing the floor for the new flooring when Jean spotted a large king snake under the wood. Rita did not stay in the room long enough to see it as she is so afraid of snakes. He was removed and work continued as usual. Cyndi and Carolyn painted in the bathroom and Ken and Duane worked on the new doors trying to get them to fit. Mim worked hard at getting the rest of the dining room painted. A new house will be started also this coming week. We will be replacing ceiling and floors in this home that were damaged from the hurricane of 2017.
On Friday evening, the group took a sunset cruise down the Crystal River and out into the Gulf. The sunset was magnificent and the weather was perfect. Sunday morning took us to a church in Crystal River. This was the church of the last client we had. She was so pleased to be able to introduce us and again thank the “angels that fixed my house.” Several of the group enjoyed the scenery on a bike trail on Saturday and believe it or not they were all able to climb in the van on Sunday.
