Citrus County, FL RV – Weekly Report – Dec 10-14, 2018

December 20, 2018

It is time to close up and go home for Christmas.  It is a sad time as we leave this family but Norm and I are richly blessed to get to have Bob and Cyndi, and Ray and Mim come back for the winter project.  We have had such a good experience with the groups we have had this fall.

We finished our part of Terry’s home on Thursday morning and had the house blessing at 2:30pm.  Terry had come early and was interviewed by the Catholic Charities film crew and so by the time of the service he was unable to stay through the whole thing. He had come without his oxygen and therefore was having a hard time breathing. He had toured the house and kept saying ” oh how pretty.”  When he looked at the kitchen he said “and even a kitchen.”  We finished the blessing feeling sad that Terry was not there but happy that we had provided a home for him to come back to.  During the refreshment time we enjoyed visiting with Catholic Charities Group and one of our group said “Who would have ever thought that we would want to sit in this house and visit?”

We are looking forward to coming back to the area to bring safe and secure homes to others that have been waiting for over a year.
