Annual Celebration

2022 MDS Annual Celebration  

The Annual Celebration is MDS’ annual meeting in which volunteers, donors, friends, and MDS staff come together to worship, learn, and fellowship. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Location

The event will take place on January 21-22 at Palm Grove Mennonite Church, 1087 Beneva Road, Sarasota, Florida. For those unable to attend, the event will be live-streamed on the MDS website starting January 21 at 6:30pm ET. 

Cost

The event is free and includes four meals (lunch and dinner on both Friday and Saturday) and snacks and drinks. You are responsible for travel and accommodations. Donations are welcome and can be given during the event.

Hotels
The following hotels are within a 10-minute drive to Palm Grove Mennonite Church. MDS will provide a shuttle to Palm Grove Church from the following hotels. Please note that hotel rooms are limited. You may continue to check this webpage for updates to other hotel options with a group rate if they become available. If you have the option of staying with family or friends in the Sarasota area, please consider that before booking a hotel room as rooms are limited.

Transportation

Health and Safety Protocols

To ensure reasonable safety, the facility will be disinfected and cleaned. Hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the facility. Masks are optional for attendees.

Past All-Unit Meetings

The first All-Unit meeting was held in the middle 1950s and outside of a few years the meeting has been held every year since in all parts of the U.S. and Canada.
