- Weekly volunteers are needed for October 13 through December 12. Fall project locations are located primarily in the Gulf Coast area.

WINTER SCHEDULING
- We are now scheduling for January through March. Five projects will be open for short term groups. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to volunteer, large groups may only schedule one week at a time. Groups with high school age students are welcome but they must have 1 adult for every 3 students in the group.
- Because of the high number of available adult volunteers in the winter, children under age 15 will not be allowed on the projects January through March.

TORNADO AND FLOOD CLEAN-UP
- Local MDS Units are coordinating tornado and flood clean up in Iowa. At this point, only local, daily volunteers are needed (there is no housing available for out-of-town volunteers and the needs change on a daily basis). If you are near an affected area and want to help, call the Akron office (800-241-8111) for more information about what is needed in your area.
Volunteer
MDS volunteers are known for repairing and rebuilding homes damaged by disasters. But it takes more than construction skills to serve with MDS. During the time that you serve as a volunteer, you will learn that MDS also restores lives.

Your contribution will help to connect volunteers with disaster survivors who need assistance on their path to recovery. MDS depends on the support of people who believe that disaster response is an important part of helping those who are in need.
