A tornado touched down in Harveyville, KS, a rural town of 250-300 residents and destroyed approximately 50% of the town. One death was recorded.

Tornados struck Branson and Buffalo, MO, damaging in the entertainment area of Branson. Buffalo and surrounding communities suffered heavy damage. MDS volunteers responded in the Buffalo area.

Iowa had multiple tornados touch down. MDS investigated in Hedrick, Creston, and Thurman. Clean up work is going well and repair work is pending.

Ninety-eight tornados touched down in Kansas in a 24-hour period. Multiple sites were investigated and clean up work was done in rural Moundridge.

Region III Director, Al Kroeker, joined Executive Director, Kevin King, at a meeting in Albuquerque to establish a New Mexico Unit. Officers were put in place, and a number of Church contact people volunteered to help with establish the new Board.
