In the last two weeks we have seen a turnover in long-term staff. Bert, Doris, Alta, Kerney, Jonathan, and Melvin, as well as the interns from Hesston College and Canadian Mennonite University departed, while Harold, Maurice, Peter, Steven, Florence, Reuben, and Kendra joined the team. Heather and Mandy served as much appreciated cooks for one week.
Last week we were joined by a group from the Steinbach Sommerfeld Church, which accomplished a great deal.
Progress is being made on the C, B, and Z houses, which are all at about the same stage of construction. Framing has been completed and siding is being installed and painted this week. The B house passed inspection today, so we can move on to the next stage. Inspections are scheduled at the other two homes later this week.

MDS volunteers are known for repairing and rebuilding homes damaged by disasters. But it takes more than construction skills to serve with MDS. During the time that you serve as a volunteer, you will learn that MDS also restores lives.
Your contribution will help to connect volunteers with disaster survivors who need assistance on their path to recovery. MDS depends on the support of people who believe that disaster response is an important part of helping those who are in need.
