We started the first week of February with three couples coming from Canada. There are seven couples here for the month of Feb. Three are from Indiana and four are from Canada. Our work this week consisted of painting, chalking and putting up drywall. The drywall was completed in two bedrooms. This was all completed at the house we are building for Jerry.
On Friday the Newton RV project hosted the first MDS RV reunion. Thirty-four people were in attendance from Deweyville, Marble Falls and Newton. We enjoyed a meal together and shared the blessings we have and are receiving from building houses for those who have lost homes from the hurricanes. The joy and appreciation is so evident on the faces of our clients.
Galatians 5:13-Through love serve one another.
MDS volunteers are known for repairing and rebuilding homes damaged by disasters. But it takes more than construction skills to serve with MDS. During the time that you serve as a volunteer, you will learn that MDS also restores lives.
Your contribution will help to connect volunteers with disaster survivors who need assistance on their path to recovery. MDS depends on the support of people who believe that disaster response is an important part of helping those who are in need.
