Responding Rebuilding Restoring

Weekly Report for Pass Christian

October 23, 2009
Category: Pass Christian, MS

Last week was very beautiful working weather, cool mornings and the sun would warm up the afternoon. We had a group from Chatham, IL, a couple from Ohio who will be here for three week, plus our long-term family of nine. The group worked on the roof and set posts for the decking. On Wednesday evening we had a gentleman from the Missionary Baptist Church come and share his life story and about the storm. Everyone found this very interesting and truly a blessing. It is always so nice to have local people come and fellowship with us.

Volunteer

MDS volunteers are known for repairing and rebuilding homes damaged by disasters. But it takes more than construction skills to serve with MDS. During the time that you serve as a volunteer, you will learn that MDS also restores lives.

Donate

Your contribution will help to connect volunteers with disaster survivors who need assistance on their path to recovery. MDS depends on the support of people who believe that disaster response is an important part of helping those who are in need.
