Disaster Description
MDS opened a volunteer project location in Point Aux Chenes, Louisiana, in October 2005 in response to the devestation caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Volunteers have gutted homes patched up walls and made roof repairs. Permits have been issued for new construction and MDS has been trying out some prefabricated structures specifically designed for severe weather conditions of this region.
